Breaking The Silence w/ Avner Gvaryahu – Ep 58

Avner Gvaryahu, the executive director of Breaking The Silence (BTS), sits down with us to discuss the organization’s mission of collecting Israeli Defense Force (IDF) veterans’ testimonies on operations in the Gaza Strip, how Israeli society sees and treats veterans who find fault with the ongoing occupation, and how similar American and Israeli military beliefs are in reality.
Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran soldiers who have served in the Israeli military since the start of the Second Intifada and have taken it upon themselves to expose the Israeli public to the reality of everyday life in the Occupied Territories.
